What is up?? I watched the vikings/redskins game and was very disappointed with the refs. They show on national tv a ref getting rubbed down by the redskins trainers then one play latter the vikings go to challenge and the redskins are running the show. Why would a ref get rubbed down by the visiting team? I am a 49er fan and really didn't care who won except for the fact Joe Gibbs is a douche bag.

In the NFL, 12 men on the field is a PENALTY and only a penalty if the refs catch it (like all penalties). In the case of the officiating debacle last night the refs did NOT catch the 12 men on the field therefore, no penalty. The Skins tried to snap the ball before the Vikes could challenge the previous out of bounds catch and they where in such a hurry they fumbled the ball giving it to the Vikes at mid field with all the momentum. No penalty called at this point.

How, in the life of me, can a coach challenge a penalty that wasn't called? That is like the defense, suffering a big play by the offense, going back to the refs and saying that one of them was held on the play! Are the refs suppose to go to the reply booth and check the holding claim?

Absolutely not! So why did the refs allow this "replay" of 12 men on the field for the Skins? If the refs had thrown a flag for 12 men on the field then that is a different matter. But they didn't so too bad Skins. Just another non call. But the Skins CHALLENGED the non penalty call, which is the first time I have ever seen nor heard of this.

Is a penalty or non-penalty even challengable?

Even though the Vikes were down they had the momentum after the fumble recovery at mid field and who knows what would have happened?

Just another horrible call by refs during the worst officating season in NFL history. Too bad for the Vikes though, even though I criticize your team I believe they could have won that game.

The worse officating I have seen in a game was the 2005 Super Bowl. Steelers and Seahawks were playing. Between the "Low Block" call, and the touchdown they called when Ben clearly didn't get into the endzone was horibile.

Steelers vs. Giants - 10/26/08 --

Once again the refs are proving they are on the take and are doing everything they can to help one team win. It is evident.

As a sports fan in general & an Atlanta Falcon fan who is pleasantly surprised with this years efforts so far, I am stunned that no bigger deal is being made about the game clinching call that the ref's made in handing the game to Philly yesterday. Even if the Falcons were out of time outs there should be an automatic review of questionable calls that change the outcome of a game. The ball on ALL replies obviously did not touch the Falcon's punt returner (Adam Jennings) yet the "Zebras" awarded the ball to Philly. Westbrook later scores - game over. Had the Falcons been given the ball, they still had 2:28left to try & score - who knows what would have happened. I will be shocked if Commissioner Goodell does not look into this and make sure it NEVER happens again!

WHATS UP WITH THE REFS.
DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THE FALCONS NON CATCH ON THE PUNT. IT WAS SO FAR AWAY FROM THE RECIEVER THAT EVEN THE ANNOUNSERS WERE CONFUSED. WHAT THE F IS GOING ON IN THE NFL.

The NE Patriots have always and still are getting all the calls. To say the least the officiating crew was horrendous! Randy Moss holding DB's and pushing off, Randy Moss holding so that Wes Welker can take a short catch for a long gain, NE's OL holds and never get called, Shannon Crowder gets helmet ripped off and head pounded on without retaliating and he gets ejected too. Blown holding calls on the Dolphins OL...making routine blocks. The list is much longer...NFL when will you all step up and reprimand NFL officials for being so "piss poor" about their jobs? Unbelieveable Today!!!

Monday night football Packers Vs. Bears. In over time a horse collar tackle was called against the Packers to get the Bears much closer to field goal range. This call was ridiculous. The defender did grab the horse collar but he did not pull him down. In fact both players fell forward. I have never seen a horse collar penalty called when both players fall forward. The rule says that the player has to grab inside the shoulder pads and yank the player down. I loath the Packers but this call was terrible and had a direct effect on the outcome of the game. Absolutely ridiculous!

The Colts win if Ron Winter and his crew don't call every little thing on the Colts and nothing on the Chargers. Every game I watched this season when Ron Winter was officiating was almost unbearable to watch, he's horrible. There is no place for him in the NFL.

Can anyone believe what a ridiculous ref job this super bowl is?

I'm not even rooting for one team or another, but it is blatantly obvious the refs are targeting the Cardinals.

Is EVERYTHING rigged in the US?

I am currently watchin the 49ers at vikings game and so far the refs Fucking Suck!! They've already "missed" at least 4 calls on the vikings as well as made 2 shitty calls on the 49ers!! 1 which was a bullshit "taunting" call, which wasn't even taunting because the player made the incomplete motion, which is something every player does and it's not taunting!! I just wonder who the fuck is paying the refs in general, or should i say bribing them! Also what does it take to get some of these assholes fired?!! Apparently its IMPOSSIBLE!! WTF! I think REFS are just bitter men that have a power trip and can't play football so they become refs!!

There is a clear bias in favor of New England Patriots by the officials in pretty much all their games. Their defensive line was holding all day against Baltimore, but no calls were made. The same thing happened last week against Atlanta Falcons.
Some one needs to look in to this if there is something going on behind the scenes.

Worst calls in history for the Vikings Packers game today. Pass interference are you kidding me!!!! Farve paid someone for that!!! Taunting, are you kidding me!!! The Vikings are playing well, but so are MY PACKERS!! People who have switched teams because of FARve traitors!!!! Some referees have been paid. Can NFL referees get conplaints, Or can they just do what ever they want???

The Ravens-Patriots game on October 4 was some of the worst officiating I have ever seen. Number 68 ref should have his license removed. I certainly hope they fine some of these refs for the unbelievably poor calls they made or at least look at removing their status. It almost seemed rigged! Tom Brady needs to shut his mammby pammby mouth and play football like the rest of the players. Flacco was sacked and there was no call as was opponents during the Redskin game. This game was enough to make you lose faith in what the game is about. There were fans from Baltimore tailgating prior to the game and many Pats fans said to them "you will never win this game...we have the refs on our side! Is something going on here?? Ray Lewis said it right..."This is embarrassing!"

Okay, I think the worst problem in the NFL and the NCAA for that matter is offensive pass interference. I keep seeing over and over recievers pushing and pulling on defenders in order to get a step on them. Its usually just a slight push or pull but it is very effective. When defenders have been trained over the years not to touch recievers at all, it is unfair let recievers get away with this. I know it is hard for the refs sometimes to see this, but they need to increase their awareness of it and if they see any push or pull at all call it. There is no reason for a reciever to do this except for blocking on a run play. The fact is is that it is pass interference. Another thing is that if the refs miss the call and it is obvious on the replay, the booth needs to point it out and enforce the penalty. Some people will say thats too much change, but it will create fair play between the recievers and defenders. Isn't that the most important thing? Once the recievers realize that they can't get away with it anymore, they will stop doing it. This is the only way to fix this problem. Using replay will equalize the field of play and help football to maintain its integrity. Football is evolving with replay, lets just surrender to it and use it wherever needed. Eventually players will simply stop cheating because they will realize they can't get away with anything. I can tell you I am getting frustrated with these recievers cheating (and it is cheating) and I grow less interested in watching games because of it. I hope there are other fans who feel the same way. I can guarantee there are many defensive backs in the NFL and NCAA that know exactly what I'm talking about. Lets increase awareness and level the playing field. When it comes to the battle between reciever and defender it should be only about athleticism. Who can either cover their man or who can get open fairly without cheating. Thank you for your time.

Kevin Boss recieved such resounding blow to the side of his helmet from the top of the diving Charger's helmet that it was clearly audible on tv. Not surprisingly he was down for a subltantial time. I understand that such helmet to helmet contact is illegal. It was not called by any of the officials. They should be fired. If they claim to have missed such a life threatening illegal hit then they are too incompentant to officiate. If they did see it and still did not call it then they should be fired for derelection of their duty. A couple of plays later the called holdig on one of the Giants linemen for holding. It was a very rinky dink call that was difficult to see even on the replay. Even when they showed the still shot it was a dubious call at best. So they missed the resounding banging of the helmets play that left Kevin Boss motionless face down on the ground for quite a while. But they astutely percieve a Giants lineman's barely brush behind a Charger's arm and immediately penalize the Giants. Incredible. I am not a Giants fan, but I wonder if the Officials were paid off to change the outcome of the game with their blatantly one sided officiating in Nov. 08, 2009

I am 63 years old and a big NFL fan and I want to say that the officiating of the Houston Indianapolis game is a disgrace to the game. These officials should never be allowed to officiate at any game. It is obvious by their calls that they are trying to keep the Colts undefeated, Manning and the Colts are talented enough without their help but this game is a load of crap because of them. This game really must be reviewed by someone who will do something about these guys.It is a joke the way this game was called.

Today 11/29/09 andre johnson clearly got the touchdown with both feet down and lost the ball when he was pushed to the ground by a colts player but its an incomplete pass. Then 2 bull$&@& pass interference calls. Even the annoucer is like what the heck. Really i'm getting sick of the nfl as a whole, between the obvious bias towards certain players and teams. And their new rules are supposedly to protect players but really its just so teams can throw for 400 yards a game. Really when have you seen several players throwing for 300+ yards for 5 weeks straight

The 2009 season for the NFL and the "referees" sucks. There have been so many missed calls and stupid calls made. I don't know how many games that I have watched that the ref's have missed calls against so many teams, mostly when they are away. It's almost like they are favoring most of the home teams. Mostly the underdogs. It really SUCKS

About the DEN @ PHI on Sun 12/27/2009.
This Mike Carey is the worst official ever. He constantly gets calls wrong and makes so many mistakes. How in the world did he get that job? Not to mention, the friggin game was soooo long b/c of the refs were unable to get the calls correct and took up too much time. CBS should report them to the league for making the game almost 4hrs and there wasn't an OT. JUST HORRIBLE.

Nice Job you useless, blind as a bat scumbage reffs in the Arizona, Green Bay Game. You completley ignored the second to the last play in the overtime game. You called holding on Green Bay ( that was correct)and how fricking convienent so you could overlook the viciouse late helmet hit on Rodgers. How absoulutly digusting. Hope they paid you well, I have seen this bullshit in all of the home games this weekend. NFL Football is becoming a real joke, thanks to your GREED!!!

Well once again the Officiating has controlled the outcome of a game by purposely missing a face mask in the Cardinal game at the end so the Cardinals would win. Watch the replay and the guy who knocked the ball out grabbed the QBs face mask to tackle him

Hey, I'm sorry, but when A player's health is concerned, the refs have to call the penalty... I don't care if they are baised for the New Orleans Saints or not ! I think Minn. I don't care who won that Game. They allowed at least two illeagal hits on Farve... One instance when the defender picked him up and slammed him to the ground. another clear attempt to injure his knee... Fuck you guys.
And the Saints defense too for playing dirty! I hope Payton throws for five hundred yerds against you mo foes ... And the refs should get run over by A.P. next time They are the ones who fumbled this one.

THE OFFICIATING BETWEEN TEXANS AND CHIEFS ON 10/17/10 WAS TERRIBLE.THE OFFICIAL MISSED MAKING A HOLDING CALL WHEN D. WARD RAN FOR A TOUCHDOWN.THE OFFICIAL THEN CALLED PASS INTERFERANCE AGAINST CHIEF'S DEFENSIVE BACK FLOWERS WHEN HOUSTON'S A. JOHNSON WAS CLEARLY PUSHING OFF AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN PENALIZED INSTEAD. IT WAS ONLY A MINUTE LEFT IN THE GAME AND DECIDED THE OUTCOME ON A BOGUS CALL.THOSE OFFICIALS SHOULD BE FIRED FOR NOT DOING THEIR JOB JUST LIKE ME IF I DON'T PERFORM ON MY JOB THAT I GET PAID TO DO.I DON'T WATCH PRO BASKETBALL BECAUSE OF POOR OFFICIATING AND AFTER WATCHING THIS GAME MADE ME SO MAD THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE ANYMORE GAMES THE REST OF THE WEEKEND.

The NFL needs to remove all refs from the field except one. That one ref will spot the ball wherever the BOOTH tells him to. That way the BOOTH can decide who will win each game before hand and ultimately who will win the superbowl. The worst calls in the past two weeks playoff games that I have ever seen.
